Princess Eugenie Blocks Meghan Markle's Attempt to Exploit Brookbank in New Document

Princess Eugenie Blocks Meghan Markle's Attempt to Exploit Brookbank in New Document

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently involved in the production of Carly Fortune's best-selling book adaptation, "Meet Me at the Lake," for Netflix. However, amid the uncertainty in Hollywood caused by the ongoing writer and actor strikes, the project's future remains uncertain.

The story deeply resonated with Harry and Meghan, as it draws parallels with their own lives, according to an insider speaking exclusively to Us Weekly. The couple believes that the ideal choice for the lead role in "Meet Me at the Lake," published by Berkeley, a division of Penguin Random House, is the 32-year-old actress Fern Brookbanks.

Her character, Ferna Brooksbank, experiences a second chance at love with Will Baxter, whom she had briefly encountered almost a decade earlier.  Despite spending just one day together, the charged chemistry between them lingers, and they reunite nearly a decade later when Ferna finds herself managing her mother's Lakeside Resort alongside her former boyfriend.

However, the use of these names in the story raised eyebrows, especially among royal fans. The names "William" and "Jack Brooksbank" coincide with members of the British royal family, which is causing some controversy. Princess Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, was particularly upset about this new project. Princess Eugenie herself did not wish to get involved with it, but the American duo, Harry and Meghan, appeared determined to leverage all their royal connections to promote the work.

Despite any tensions over the project, it's worth noting that Eugenie had previously invited Meghan to a baby shower and even had a friendly reunion with Meghan's adversary, Piers Morgan. Morgan has often made controversial remarks likening Meghan Markle to Amber Heard, and he's been critical of her in the media.

As one of the last family members who maintained communication with Harry and Meghan after they stepped away from the royal family, Eugenie now appears to be reevaluating how she's been used by them. She's beginning to resonate with her father's stance, holding a grudge against his older brother, and is reconsidering her past support for Harry and Meghan.

Eugenie, now a mother of two, seems to be reflecting on whether her support for Harry and Meghan was in line with her own values, especially after they announced their pregnancy at her wedding to Jack. Despite the initial strain in their relationship, it's possible that Eugenie and Harry have moved past that particular faux pas, attributing it to Meghan's unfamiliarity with social norms.

Currently, Eugenie and her family have reportedly taken up residence at Frogmore Cottage, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been asked to vacate the property, suggesting ongoing tensions within the family.
