Meghan remained in California with her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while her husband, Prince Harry, returned to Britain for the WellChild Awards on Thursday. During the event, Prince Harry, along with King Charles and other senior members of the royal family, expressed heartfelt tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth.
Speaking at a charity event in London, the Duke of Sussex stated, "As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year as my grandmother passed away." He added, "She would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her, and that's precisely why I know, exactly one year on, that she is looking down on all of us tonight, happy we're together."
In contrast, Kate Middleton and Prince William jointly shared a statement to mark the one-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Their statement read, "Today we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. We all miss you. W & C."
However, Meghan Markle opted to remain silent on this occasion, choosing not to publicly share any tribute or message in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth.
