In January 2023, Prince Harry released his autobiography titled "Spare," which contained several pointed comments about his brother's wife, the Princess of Wales. Royal commentator Katie Nicholl noted that Princess Kate was left feeling "hurt and disappointed" by these attacks.
Nicholl explained, "When you consider the personal revelations, or rather, snide remarks made about Kate in 'Spare,' Harry broke a cardinal rule, which is to remain silent on family matters."
Although Kate and Harry used to have a very close relationship, this situation marked a complete breakdown in their bond. Nicholl emphasized that Kate's response wasn't one of anger but rather disappointment and hurt, given that she had no opportunity to defend herself, a fact Harry was well aware of.
Nicholl also revealed that Prince William was furious that his brother had embroiled Kate in their feud. According to the royal commentator, "I do know that William was very angry that Harry had drawn Kate into it when he felt Kate was blameless throughout. She acted as the peacemaker, attempting to reconcile the brothers, and for Kate to be dragged into this contentious situation was deeply upsetting for her and certainly infuriated William.
Recent reports suggest that the Prince and Princess of Wales are apprehensive about the possibility of Prince Harry launching another public attack on the Royal Family. This concern arises as Prince Harry's documentary, "Heart of Invictus Games," released on Netflix on August 30, 2023, has not garnered the same success as the Sussexes' previous docu-series titled "Harry & Meghan."
A source commented on the situation, saying, "Harry is going to want people to watch the show. Of course, that makes them nervous because William has seen how ruthless Harry has been about betraying his family to promote his projects thus far.
