Valentino CEO Removes All Meghan Markle's Images from Website as Sales Plummet 27% Overnight After Invictus Release

Valentino's CEO made a drastic move by removing all of Meghan Markle's images from their website after experiencing a 27% drop in sales practically overnight following the release of "The Heart of Invictus."

The Duchess of Sussex has maintained a relatively low profile in recent times, with her last official public appearance dating back to a near-catastrophic car chase incident with Prince Harry in New York in May. Although she has been seen at a belated birthday brunch with friends and embarked on a solo shopping trip in Montecito, she has generally avoided the spotlight.

However, Meghan recently made a brief but impactful appearance in Prince Harry's new Netflix series, "The Heart of Invictus." In the final episode of this five-part series, she is seen supporting her husband before he delivers a speech.

Meghan looked radiant and happier than ever in the intimate clip, wearing a white two-piece suit from Valentino. The outfit consisted of an oversized blazer with a double-breasted design and straight-leg trousers. Her glossy hair was styled in romantic waves, and her natural features were accentuated with a glowing makeup look featuring fluttery lashes, defined brows, and a peachy-toned blush.

Although Meghan's all-white outfit generated headlines when she appeared beside her husband at the Invictus Games 2022 in the Netherlands, it seems the response to her clothing choices has not been entirely positive. Even Valentino's own website removed the image of Meghan wearing their attire only a few hours after posting it due to an unexpectedly high number of negative reviews.

The 27% drop in Valentino's sales was more significant than the impact reported by other luxury groups, including LVMH. Sources indicate that this decline occurred rapidly following the release of "The Heart of Invictus." Valentino's strategic director is reportedly concerned that they may have to remove all catalog-related content featuring Meghan Markle if the response to the Netflix show does not improve.

Meghan's outfit, which included an expensive blazer and trousers costing thousands of dollars, sparked mixed reactions from the public. While some were pleased to see her looking well, others felt that her clothing choice was highly inappropriate for the occasion, as she was there to support injured military personnel rather than turn it into a fashion show. Critics argued that such extravagance didn't align with the spirit of celebrating the fortitude and sacrifices made by those who've served their nations.
