Netflix recently unveiled the trailer for "The Beckham," a four-part documentary series focusing on the family life and career of the iconic footballer David Beckham. The series also provides insights into the Beckhams' relationships, their ability to navigate social circles, and the challenges of dealing with individuals who may appear as friends but may not be entirely genuine.
Notably, the trailer features appearances from some of Victoria and David Beckham's friends, including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jada Pinkett Smith, and others. However, the absence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who recently signed a deal with Netflix to produce documentaries and content, has raised eyebrows.
Initially, the Duchess of Sussex's name was listed in the documentary's guest description, but due to some inconsistencies, they were subsequently removed from the official version. In a second trailer that leaked on YouTube, Victoria Beckham is heard talking about an unnamed friend who caused trouble by borrowing dresses without notifying her or making arrangements for compensation. This statement has led to speculation that it was directed at Meghan Markle.
Insiders explained that Victoria initially had a friendly relationship with Meghan, who sought advice on visiting her store and inquiring about London and Cotswolds when they were neighbors. However, tensions arose when Meghan expressed interest in wearing Victoria's clothing. While Victoria was willing to offer a discreet discount to friends, she did not provide free dresses, adhering to her policy.
This led to a confrontation between Harry and David Beckham, as Meghan accused Victoria of selling stories about them to the media. Meghan also publicly claimed that Victoria's dresses didn't suit her, despite Victoria having warned them on numerous occasions in the past.
The situation escalated when the Beckhams discovered that Harry and Meghan were spreading rumors that the couple had falsely accused them of leaking stories to the press. This discovery further soured their relationship.
The documentary reveals that the former friends have now officially cut ties, making reconciliation unlikely. Speculation about a feud between the Beckhams and Harry and Meghan has been circulating since last year. While the Beckhams attended the royal couple's wedding in 2018, they did not extend an invitation to their own son's wedding to Nicola Peltz in 2022.
Speculation mounted that Harry and Meghan believed the Beckhams were behind negative stories about them in the media, as explained by the expert on power dynamics in his new book, "Revenge: Meghan and Harry and the War Between the Windsors.
