Ari revealed that two recent agreements with Netflix, one of which was with Tyler Perry, had been signed.
In response, Perry jokingly remarked that Ari tends to talk a bit too much and that he would await an official announcement from Netflix. Nevertheless, he did acknowledge that Netflix had been an incredible partner to work with, along with Amazon.
Interestingly, Tyler Perry is already occupied with two distinct projects: a World War II-themed drama titled "618" and a thriller called "Mia Culper," centered around the life of a criminal defense attorney portrayed by Kelly Rowland.
It's worth noting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently visited Atlanta, which sparked speculation among royal enthusiasts that Meghan might have been seeking a role in one of Tyler Perry's movies. Such rumors have been circulating, especially since Meghan named him the godfather to her children. However, it appears that this particular opportunity isn't in the cards.
What's also worth noting is that Tyler Perry currently owns BET and has not entered into any deals with Meghan Markle. According to a source close to Tyler, Meghan reached out to him after learning of his purchase of the BET Media Group, offering to contribute $2 million.
However, it's suggested that Meghan is in a financially precarious situation, and she might have been willing to owe the money. Nevertheless, Tyler declined the offer, asserting that he couldn't accept a contract that didn't align with his interests. He was well aware of Meghan's financial predicament and has never been one to accede to requests for freebies.
In addition, there's a story surrounding Tyler Perry being unaware of how the paparazzi found his house while the Sussexes were residing there with their infant son, Archie, during the production of their Netflix show. Perry criticized the British Royals as racist without having the complete picture, claiming that he knew he lived in the house before the Sussexes began residing there.
This may not come as a big surprise, as Meghan is known for her dislike of attention. Moreover, the couple's team even provided a reporter with Perry's address to verify the leak, which subsequently led to the reporter disclosing his source as a representative for Harry and Meghan in an attempt to corroborate the leaked story.
