MP Bob Cely strongly believes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should proceed with their marriage plans even after stepping back from their royal duties. He emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity of the royal family, stating, "The royal family is an integral part of our nation's heritage, and Prince Harry and Meghan should not seek to undermine this institution or its future." He further added, "You can't remain within the royal family, retain all your titles, and simultaneously engage in actions that could tarnish its reputation.
If they wish to set an example as individuals, there are more appropriate ways to do so, such as relinquishing their titles and pursuing their own path without adversely affecting the royal family." Mr. Cely has taken the initiative to introduce a bill that aims to amend the 1917 Act in the House of Commons. The bill is scheduled for a second reading in June, although the limited availability of parliamentary time may pose a challenge to its progress.
This latest controversy involving the Sussex family stems from the release of a tell-all book by Omit Sco, titled "Endgame." Notably, copies of the book were removed from bookstore shelves in the Netherlands after the Princess of Wales raised questions about the potential impact of the book on the royal family, particularly in relation to the skin color of their sons. This development has added yet another layer of complexity to the ongoing discussions surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
