In a recent analysis, Stanton observed that the couple's body language and overall display of affection have undergone a significant transformation. Initially, during the early stages of their relationship, they were known for their public affection, often surpassing the more reserved displays of Prince William and Kate. Instances like Harry kissing Meghan after a polo match or their affectionate moments during the Royal tour of Africa were notable. However, as their relationship progressed, Stanton noted a decrease in public displays of affection.
He mentioned that while Harry and Meghan still occasionally delight fans with their adorable performances, they tend to keep their relationship more private nowadays. Stanton remarked that there's been a toning down of public displays, with reduced eye contact and fewer instances of physical touch.
Despite this shift, Stanton emphasized that the couple clearly maintains great levels of respect for each other and continues to provide support through various challenges. Even though their public displays have become less overtly enthusiastic, the depth of their connection and commitment remains evident.
The couple's journey began with a secret first date at Soho House in 2016, initiated by a mutual friend. Prince Harry shared in his Netflix docu-series that their relationship blossomed privately for several months before being revealed to the public in October 2016. Their engagement was announced just over a year later, leading to their royal wedding at St George's Chapel in 2018.
Following the birth of their son Archie in May 2019, Harry and Meghan decided to step back from their roles as prominent members of the royal family and relocated to the United States. There, they currently reside with their son and recently welcomed their daughter, Lilibet.
