In an interview with GB News, royal commentator Jenny Bond stated that Prince Harry and Prince William have a significant "rift," and William has chosen to "disown" his younger brother.Since stepping down as a senior member of the royal family in January 2020 and relocating to the US, Prince Harry has given several interviews about the Royal Family and openly criticized them in his biography, "Spare," which was released last year.
During her conversation with Emily Carver and Tom Howell on GB News, Bond expressed, "You can't wave a magic wand and put this family back together again. That's become very apparent."
She further revealed, "We have received information that there is no plan for William to meet Harry. We have been told that there are indications that Harry would be willing to meet his brother if the opportunity arose, but I think William has shown that he has disowned Harry. He doesn't want to know him, probably doesn't even like him anymore, and Harry is just not part of his life."
Bond emphasized the deep divide between the brothers, saying, "I think that the rift is so deep now, and that has been shown by Harry being here and them not meeting. It is so deep that I do wonder if it can ever be mended."
Prince William has been occupied with caring for his wife, Princess Kate, who recently underwent planned abdominal surgery.
Since their departure from the Royal Family, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made several negative remarks about Prince William and Princess Kate.
On his visit to the UK, Prince Harry reportedly spent no more than 45 minutes with his father, King Charles, before Charles headed to Sandringham. Bond described the meeting between father and son as "awkward," and she noted that Prince Harry had the option to stay at Clarence House, where he used to reside, or travel to Sandringham, possibly by car if he didn't join his father and stepmother in the helicopter. However, Prince Harry chose to stay at a hotel, leaving his activities during that time undisclosed.
