Prince Harry Returns to UK for Invictus Games Anniversary; King Charles Plans Gesture for Archie's Birthday

The Duke of Sussex has made plans to return to the UK, marking his presence for the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. In another development, Prince Archie, son of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, is set to celebrate his fifth birthday tomorrow, and there are reports suggesting that King Charles intends to make a heartfelt gesture to honor the occasion.

Due to the strained relationship between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and the Royal Family, Prince Archie has had limited interactions with his grandfather. However, there is speculation that King Charles is keen on repairing their relationship. According to royal expert Tom Quinn, the monarch is planning to reach out to the Duke of Sussex to convey his well wishes to Archie on his birthday. Quinn further reveals that King Charles has even discussed the possibility of video-calling his son and grandson.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Quinn stated, "King Charles is not particularly fond of new technology, but he is eager to stay connected with his grandchildren across the Atlantic. He will definitely call Harry to wish Archie a happy birthday. Although Charles has been inquiring about video calls, he remains somewhat uncomfortable with the idea. If he opts for a regular telephone call to Harry, he can briefly speak to Archie without having to engage with Meghan, which is a prospect he finds daunting."

Archie and his sister Princess Lilibet have spent very little time in the UK. While Archie was born in the UK, he relocated to the United States with his parents when he was just one year old. The siblings have visited the UK only once before, during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.

Interestingly, it appears that Prince Harry is also seeking an opportunity to reconcile with his father. He is scheduled to return to the UK next week to participate in the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, and during his visit, he plans to meet with his father as well.
