The Prince and Princess of Wales will mark their 13th wedding anniversary on Monday, April 29th. However, reports suggest that they will not publicly celebrate the occasion. While Kate continues her cancer treatment, the couple had some happy occasions to celebrate through late April and into May. Ahead of their daughter's 9th birthday on May 2nd, the couple will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary on April 29th. The couple will likely celebrate the special day in private.
According to royal experts, they will not celebrate the event in public. Speaking on the latest episode of a Right Royal Podcast, Royal Editor Emily Nash explained why Kate and William only celebrate the day in private. "My gut feeling is that we won't get a new photo because it's not a big milestone. After 13 years, it's not a big anniversary. Also, they have a lot going on. They're not making it an annual thing. They put up pictures for their 10-year wedding anniversary in 2021, so it's not something I expect them to do."
Speaking about the couple's decision to post a photo of their youngest son in honor of his 6th birthday on April 23rd, Miss Nash added, "They wanted to give something away in response to all the good wishes and happy birthday wishes directed at Louis. With Charlotte's birthday coming up next week, we could probably expect a similar approach to how the pair celebrated Louis' birthday."
Earlier this week, the couple released an adorable new photo of their six-year-old, Louis, wearing a plaid shirt, a Prince George tradition, and blue trousers. Louis looks into the camera as he sits outdoors on a blanket.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, who have been together for more than two decades, married at Westminster Abbey on April 29th, 2011. Two years later, the couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, on July 22nd, 2013. The couple welcomed their only daughter, Princess Charlotte, in May 2015. Louis joined his two older brothers in April 2018.
To celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary last year, the couple shared a never-before-seen photo on their official Instagram page. In the photo, taken by Matt Porteous, Kate and William appear with their arms around each other during a cycling trip in Norfolk last year.
