Meghan Markle Excluded as Prince William and Children Enjoy Taylor Swift Concert in Montecito

Prince William marked his 42nd birthday in a truly memorable fashion by attending Taylor Swift's "Ears Tour" show at London's Wembley Stadium on Friday, accompanied by his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The royal family enjoyed an evening filled with music and entertainment as Taylor Swift kicked off her tour's London leg on June 21st. Wembley Stadium was buzzing with excitement as Swift's pop hits had some members of the royal family reportedly dancing along on opening night.

Royal reporter Roya Nikkhah provided insights into Prince William's birthday celebrations, noting that he had a fantastic time with his children. Nikkhah shared on Twitter, "Nothing says happy 42nd birthday quite like taking the kids to see Taylor Swift's gig at Wembley Stadium tonight! Prince William celebrating his birthday in style."

Earlier in the day, the royal guards outside Buckingham Palace delighted spectators by performing Taylor Swift's hit song "Shake It Off," setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable evening. Taylor Swift's boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, along with his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, also made the trip across the Atlantic to support her during this significant leg of her tour.

While Prince William's attendance at the concert was celebrated, Meghan Markle's reported attendance at Swift's August 2023 Los Angeles show sparked controversy. Despite numerous celebrities being photographed at the event, including Kristen Bell, Gigi Hadid, Mindy Kaling, Blake Lively, Kevin Costner, Selena Gomez, and Channing Tatum, no photos surfaced of Meghan Markle. Questions arose about how she could have attended such a high-profile event without being seen. If she did attend, it's speculated she may have arranged VIP treatment, possibly including a private suite and heightened security measures, although no evidence has emerged to support this claim. Meghan Markle is known for rarely being out of the public eye without being photographed.

Taylor Swift's team reportedly maintained a cautious distance from Meghan Markle, declining her invitation to appear on a podcast and refusing a backstage meeting with Meghan and Prince Harry at a Los Angeles concert. Prince William's connection to Taylor Swift goes back to 2013 when they, along with Jon Bon Jovi, performed "Living on a Prayer" during a charity event for Centrepoint at Kensington Palace. Reflecting on this event in a 2021 episode of Apple Fitness Plus's "Time to Walk" series, Prince William recalled the memorable night and his surprise at performing alongside Bon Jovi and Swift in support of the young homeless charity he champions.
