Eugenie and Jack Pull Away From Harry & Meghan Amid Portugal Home Controversy

Eugenie and Jack Pull Away From Harry & Meghan Amid Portugal Home Controversy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly setting their sights on a property in Portugal, and according to the **Daily Mail**, they might already be the proud owners of a holiday home in the scenic country. This cozy getaway could be exactly what Harry and Meghan need to maintain a presence in Europe. Interestingly, they aren’t the only royals with real estate aspirations in Portugal. Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are already settled into their own charming residence at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Melides, which they frequently visit with their two adorable children.

Could it be that this close familial connection inspired Harry and Meghan’s latest venture? Just when we thought Eugenie had distanced herself from her cousins, she’s suddenly thrust into the center of another royal saga. Eugenie has always had a soft spot for Harry, even though her mother, Sarah Ferguson (Fergie), has thrown shade at the Sussexes—most notably during a dinner conversation with Piers Morgan. Yes, that Piers Morgan—the one who labeled Meghan a “social climbing liar” and called Harry a “foolish ingrate” who tormented the late Queen. Can you imagine the awkward family dinners? “So, Fergie, how do you really feel about Harry and Meghan?” One can only picture the dramatic eye rolls and sighs.

Fergie has even told the media that she doesn’t really know Meghan, which feels like a royal burn wrapped in a polite family statement. If Eugenie is trying to extend an olive branch to her cousins, how must she feel about her mother cozying up to someone who seems to be Public Enemy Number One for the Sussexes?

If Eugenie is involved in any of this property drama, it’s likely just to help Meghan maintain the illusion of royal connections. Meghan, after all, has practically built a career out of trying to stay relevant in royal circles—and she’s not about to let something like family loyalty get in the way. Why bother with real relationships when you can have a façade?

The real mystery lies in the timing and motivation behind this alleged property purchase. When exactly did the Sussexes buy this place? A year ago? Two? Who knows? Even more puzzling is the fact that there’s no concrete evidence to back up this so-called purchase. It all feels like clickbait. In fact, the whole Portugal house saga seems like a desperate attempt to portray Meghan as an international woman of mystery, living her best life in Portugal, while Eugenie quietly plays the role of royal confidant.

Is this purchase a strategic investment or a tax-saving maneuver? Meghan wouldn’t last a week away from her beloved California sunshine. This whole property story feels just like that—a story. And it’s not like Eugenie and Jack are suddenly going to become Meghan’s new best friends. After all, they’ve been noticeably absent from each other’s lives since the Queen’s funeral. There were rumors that Harry visited Eugenie in Portugal last year, but no photos ever surfaced.

As of now, Eugenie seems to be back in the UK, possibly distancing herself from the Sussex drama altogether. If Harry and Meghan really did acquire a slice of paradise in Portugal, it’s highly unlikely that Eugenie had anything to do with it. She seems more focused on keeping her distance than risking her reputation by getting entangled in her cousins’ increasingly chaotic lives.

As for Meghan, she’s still grasping at straws to maintain her royal image—but that ship may have long since sailed.
