King Charles Cuts Ties with Sussex for Good After Netflix Revelations on Prince Harry

Prince Harry seems to have alienated the entire royal firm. He and his former basic cable wife, Meghan Markle, are reportedly furious about his father, King Charles's, recent royal decisions. The latest season of the Crown was not as well-received by the King as he might have hoped; in fact, it turned out to be worse than expected.

Instead of merely portraying the monarch as a heartless husband intent on betraying his ex-wife and mother, which the 74-year-old had anticipated, the series confirmed Charles's suspicions about his wayward son. According to *Women's Day*, King Charles now has heightened concerns that 38-year-old Harry, who is on Netflix's payroll, may have had some influence over the drama and its contentious narrative.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have yet to produce their own Netflix docu-series, reports indicate they have pocketed a staggering $100 million from the streaming giant, solidifying their position as significant players in the industry. After viewing the show, Charles is convinced that Netflix received assistance from Harry. A palace source pointed out how Prince William was dragged into the show's storyline in a gratuitous manner, while Harry's character was largely spared, save for a bit of light relief.

Insiders suggest the series includes subtle hints indicating that the royal households leaked information against one another, which aligns with Harry's grievances about palace life. Notably, there is a scene where Diana informs the Queen about her BBC interview, reminiscent of how Harry told his grandmother that he was sharing everything with Oprah.

According to the source, for Charles, this is the most devastating act imaginable if it holds any truth. It feels like treason, claims one outraged palace insider. Harry was still in the picture when the series started in 2016, and he was aware of how damaging this project could be to nearly every senior royal family member, except seemingly to himself.

With speculation swirling around Harry's involvement with the Crown's script, reports indicate that King Charles convened an emergency meeting last week with key members of the royal family. Charles is contemplating the possibility of cutting Harry off for good, but he wants it to appear as a united family decision rather than a unilateral one. Above all, he trusts Prince William, Princess Catherine, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward—who were all summoned to Buckingham Palace to discuss the matter.

It seems they all support the idea of removing Harry from the family fold. Last Friday, King Charles also reached out to the UK Parliament to include Anne and Edward as councilors of state—a group of senior royals who can step in if the monarch is absent or unable to fulfill his duties. If successful, this move would render Harry completely obsolete within the royal system, according to the source. Charles would prefer his loyal sister and the dependable Edward over a rebellious son who may have betrayed him to Hollywood scriptwriters.

Royal pundit Angela Levin suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be outraged by King Charles's change to their previous arrangement, which further distances Harry from any ties to the monarchy. Levin stated, “Harry and Meghan would be absolutely furious with the decision, but he lives in California now and has ceased being a working royal, so why should he be a councilor of state?” She added, “It isn't about Harry but rather what the King needs.”

At least in Harry's mind, it seems like it’s all about him. Levin went on to say that if the “black sheep” Prince Andrew were to stand in for the King, the public would be outraged. In conclusion, reading between the lines indicates that this decision allows the King to ensure that the right individuals are in the right positions.
