Worst Judgment Ever!’ Princess Diana’s Biographer Weighs In on Meghan Markle

I'm still processing the comments made by Tina Brown, who wrote a biography about Princess Diana. Recently, she did not hold back in criticizing Meghan Markle, and it’s quite a conversation starter.

For those who may not know, Tina Brown is the author of a biography on Princess Diana and a former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. She has previously labeled Meghan and Harry as “addicted to drama” and referred to their exit from the royal family as a “disaster.” So, it’s no surprise she didn’t hold back this time either.

Many have been sharing quotes from her, but I believe it’s far more impactful to hear her thoughts directly. In a recent appearance on The Ankler podcast, Tina shared her candid views about Meghan. I can only imagine how Meghan must feel listening to this.

She stated, “Harry remains in the U.S. Will he be married to Meghan in ten years? I think he's pretty much in the thrall of Meghan. The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She has the worst judgment—I definitely put her on that list.”

She’s flawless about getting it all wrong. The reason they all leave is because she does not listen. She asks for opinions but doesn’t follow them.”

Meghan must be furious at this candid critique. Tina’s observations are undeniably truthful, and the camaraderie she shared with the hosts was palpable as they discussed Meghan's judgment.

Harry, in this situation, comes off as naive and somewhat unschooled in the ways of the world. He was initially taken in by Meghan, believing she was a savvy Hollywood insider who would elevate their status. Unfortunately, he’s become a lamb to the slaughter as Meghan has made every mistake in the book. The question is: where does Meghan go from here?

Harry seemed naive, believing Meghan's promises about what they could achieve together, even before they left the royal family. He never truly hid his disdain for royal life, but it seemed Meghan sold him a dream about their future as wealthy socialites, free from royal obligations. The truth is, he was the gravy train she jumped on, and I don’t think he realized that until it was too late.

Meghan and Harry do seem addicted to drama, and their situation has turned into a disaster. Tina highlighted Harry's naive blind following of Meghan, likening him to a child.

To provide some context, Tina has written several books about the royals, including *The Palace Papers* and *The Diana Chronicles,* which became a New York Times bestseller in 2007. She’s previously described Harry as “fragile” and “combustible,” with palace advisers believing he would eventually leave the royal family.

It's no surprise, then, that he did leave, and now it seems he may deeply regret that choice. Tina also pointed out that their exit was a disaster all around and suggested they could have left on better terms if they weren’t so hot-headed.

Many are now openly expressing their disdain for Meghan, which is telling. Royal expert Hugo Vickers noted that while Meghan's profile rose after marrying Harry, her lack of commitment to royal duties ultimately complicated their situation.

Interestingly, Vickers pointed out that many once admired Meghan for being the first royal to address the United Nations, but her ability to upset people has changed that perception. He mentioned, “More and more people are coming around to see the truth about Meghan Markle.”

I find it fascinating how people are beginning to recognize the issues surrounding her. Initially, she seemed to believe that marrying Harry would grant her all the fame and fortune she desired, but now, it appears that she is realizing her plan didn’t unfold as expected.

Meghan seems to enjoy the drama, as she is often at the center of controversy. This brings me to a pressing thought—while I agree with Tina’s assessment, I wonder how much we should continue discussing Meghan. Are we inadvertently keeping her in the spotlight?
