Donald Trump Talks About His 18-Year-Old Son Barron Like Never Before

Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump are known to be parents who are deeply proud of their 18-year-old son Barron. It is also public knowledge that the couple is extremely protective of their son and rarely share details of their family life with him. Despite keeping a tight lid on his relationship with the youngest of his five children, the former president gave a glimpse of his relationship with the teenager in a recent interview.
Previously, a source close to the couple had revealed to People what the mother-son relationship between Melania and Barron was like. “Barron has always been a first priority in (Melania’s) life,” adding that “she has always surrounded herself with family. She is a loving mother to Barron and very protective of him.”
Now, it has been the former president’s turn to speak out about his son. During his interview with Megyn Kelly, Trump took a moment to talk about his son and his plans for the future as he becomes a teenager. “Our dinners are nice dinners, our dinners are like people’s dinners…we actually get along very well,” he said of his family, explaining that Barron is a “very good athlete” and the family is already talking about his college plans.
“Barron is very tall, about 6 feet 8 inches (more than two meters) and he’s a good kid. He’s a good-looking kid. He’s a great student, very good student,” the former president stated. He was also asked if the family was considering the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania as an option, to which Trump replied that they are “considering” the possibility.
Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1968, and his children Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump followed in his footsteps, as well as Tiffany Trump, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
