Meghan Markle has reportedly been left feeling "frustrated" by Princess Kate's unexpected decision amid ongoing tensions within the royal family.
According to Heat Magazine, the Princess of Wales has decided that she no longer wishes to take on the role of a "peacemaker" between the royal family and Prince Harry. This has left Meghan Markle feeling let down, as she had hoped for Kate's support in softening her husband Prince William’s stance toward Harry.
An insider shared that Meghan is fully aware of William’s deep reservations about reconciling with his brother, Harry, and understands the difficulty of getting him to accept any form of peace, let alone welcoming him back into the royal fold. However, Meghan believes that with more encouragement, particularly from Kate, William might be more open to reconciliation.
Despite being mindful of not wanting to be "critical" of Kate, especially after her recent battle with cancer, Meghan is said to be privately frustrated by Kate's lack of action. The source added that Meghan feels Kate could be doing more to support Harry and help bridge the divide, especially considering Kate's public image as a potential peacemaker within the family.
Harry and Meghan's departure from the royal family in 2020 has strained their relationship with key members of the Firm, including Prince William and Princess Catherine, particularly after the couple's controversial remarks about them in interviews.
Earlier reports suggested that following her own cancer journey, Kate Middleton may have been more inclined to act as a mediator between the brothers, understanding the value of family. However, it now seems that she is siding with her husband’s position, putting an end to any efforts to bring the brothers closer together.
