Meghan Markle Breaks Silence on Backlash Over Lilibet & Archie Photo

Meghan Markle Breaks Silence on Backlash Over Lilibet & Archie Photo

Meghan Markle has seemingly addressed the backlash surrounding their Christmas card through a source in *People* magazine. As is often the case, this magazine has long been a trusted mouthpiece for the Sussexes, so it seems like someone is in damage control mode.

The Christmas card in question features Meghan and Harry's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Released on December 16, the card presented a photo of the kids running toward their parents, with Harry and Meghan looking on lovingly, their three dogs by their feet. The children are shown from behind, keeping their identities private, in line with their parents' desire to shield them from the public eye.

The *People* article aims to validate the authenticity of this photo, emphasizing that the children in the image are indeed Archie and Lilibet. However, there has been considerable speculation, with some believing the children in the photo could be child actors rather than the real royals. The article is trying to address these rumors, insisting the image is genuine.

Additionally, the article highlights that Harry and Meghan have always been intentional about keeping their children's lives private, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their safety and privacy from potential threats. A friend of the couple reportedly told *People* that Harry wants to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself and that his children lead normal lives without fear of harm. However, given the nature of this statement, it’s hard to believe this is truly a "friend" speaking—many suspect this is just Meghan and Harry indirectly addressing the controversy through a trusted outlet.

*People* also reported that the couple sent a separate, more private card to close friends and family, which won’t be shared publicly. How do they know this? It’s hard to imagine anyone except Meghan and Harry themselves providing this kind of information to the magazine. As usual, *People* seems to be a direct line to the couple.

The Christmas card also features five other pictures from the couple's trips to Nigeria and Colombia, including one with Harry meeting a soldier, as captured by *People*'s Chief Foreign Correspondent, Simon Perry. The article discusses each of these images in detail, with Harry commenting on the importance of meeting people directly when supporting their causes.

But here’s the issue: the photo of Archie and Lilibet has raised eyebrows because it looks edited and somewhat unnatural. Meghan is known for her attention to detail, so it’s surprising that this photo, which was meant to spread cheer, appears so poorly done. Many have pointed out issues with the photo, which I discussed in another video—check the link in the description for a closer look.

So, in summary, do you think this *People* article is truly a response from a "friend," or is it Meghan and Harry themselves trying to justify their holiday card?
