Meghan Markle Allegedly Sneaks into Kate Middleton's Room for Tennis Bracelet

Meghan Markle’s Royal Fashion: A Game of Borrow and Never Return

If anyone ever suggested that Meghan Markle might have a secret side hustle in kleptomania during her brief time as a working member of the British royal family, it wouldn’t be entirely shocking. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if she had a hidden stash of priceless royal items tucked away, including royal trinkets, art pieces, and perhaps even a few precious items from the Wales children’s playroom.

This theory seems plausible for someone who has, on multiple occasions, demonstrated a blatant disregard for royal protocol and basic decency. Take Prince Harry, for example. He once famously boasted about stealing Christmas tree decorations from Buckingham Palace. This wasn’t just a small act of rebellion; it was a grand gesture. Harry apparently gave the stolen items to his staff, leaving them in an awkward position as they had to carry the stolen goods through security, only to be confronted with difficult questions about the origins of their presents.

One might think that Harry’s antics would have ended there, but no—he continued to flout royal decorum with his ill-advised gift-giving. But what about Meghan? While Harry’s crimes were of the small, festive variety, Meghan’s alleged “thefts” seem to be on a much grander scale. Rumors have swirled about Meghan misplacing a tennis bracelet that once belonged to Catherine, the Princess of Wales. This wasn’t just any ordinary piece of jewelry—it was a royal item of significant value. Of course, it’s likely that it was “lost” in the most innocent of circumstances. But Meghan has never been known to shy away from controversy—especially when it comes to jewelry.

In fact, Meghan’s history with missing, borrowed, or “permanently borrowed” royal items is far from spotless. She’s been linked to several instances where valuable pieces have either gone missing or mysteriously disappeared after she had access to them. Perhaps the most significant of these incidents occurred in 2019 when Queen Elizabeth reportedly put her foot down, banning Meghan from borrowing any more pieces from the royal collection. Meghan, it seems, had an insatiable appetite for royal jewels—but with the ban in place, she had to find other ways to feed her fashion obsession.

But if you thought that would stop her, think again. Meghan has a well-documented fondness for wearing Diana’s jewelry, from the butterfly earrings she borrowed to the famous aquamarine ring that somehow ended up in her possession. The engagement ring she received from Harry, which initially featured three diamonds representing their journey, also underwent a mysterious transformation. After the tumultuous events of their royal life, one of the diamonds has inexplicably vanished, leaving behind a single large stone.

Did Meghan trade in Diana’s legacy for something more modern and less royal? It wouldn't be surprising. After all, this is the same woman who once marketed herself as a self-made Duchess, yet had no qualms about exploiting her royal title for personal gain. There was also that audacious moment when Meghan wore earrings that were a wedding gift from a Saudi prince, a man whose reputation has often been called into question. According to rumors, Meghan had the earrings broken down and turned into a diamond pinky ring.

Given this track record, it’s no wonder the royal family had growing concerns about lending Meghan such valuable items. Between the missing diamonds, the jewelry she’s borrowed (and never returned), and the mounting suspicion that her hands might be just a little too sticky, it’s clear that Meghan’s royal fashion choices were less about elegance and more about access to the royal collection.

But don’t worry. If Meghan ever does return the missing jewelry, it’s likely it will be in pristine condition—just after she’s profited from them, of course.
