Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Diverging Body Language Revealed
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have clearly developed contrasting body languages as they embark on separate career paths.
Recently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made appearances at different events—the New York Times Dealbook Summit for Harry and a gala honoring Tyler Perry for Meghan—offering a glimpse into their evolving personas.
Body language expert Judi James shared her insights with *The Mirror*, noting, "Both seem to be developing a signature style, and the contrast between them is striking."
James pointed out that Harry seems to be regaining his royal confidence, evoking his former public image when he was known for his playful, attention-grabbing nature. "Harry appears to thrive in the spotlight, exhibiting what could be described as alpha signals. His body language is confident and assertive, reminiscent of his royal days when he was known for his outgoing, almost show-boating behavior."
She continued, "His posture during the event was one of authority—sitting facing the audience with wide-splayed knees and slanted shoulders, as if commanding attention. His gestures were purposeful and dramatic, emphasizing every word he spoke. He made strong eye contact and turned his head toward his interviewer, which made him appear dominant and self-assured. Harry’s communication style suggests he enjoys taking center stage and is comfortable discussing himself."
In contrast, James observed that Meghan's body language reflected a more forward-thinking persona. "Meghan, on the other hand, seems to be adopting a more ‘future-oriented’ form of body language, standing in stark contrast to Harry's throwback to his past royal image. She appears to be fully embracing her 'celebrity' mode, though her body language is quite different from the one she used when she was an actress."
James explained that while Harry's signals evoke the past, Meghan's stance indicates a shift toward a more modern, celebrity-centric identity. "Her gestures and expressions suggest she's no longer that actress we once saw in Hollywood but is now fully immersed in the world of celebrity, with all the poise and presence that role demands."
