As bizarre pictures of the *Bad Blood* singer walking in the woods began circulating online, the chart-topping artist felt the need to explain her actions.
In the photos, Taylor is seen walking the trail backwards, sporting a pair of tight green shorts that showcase her $40 million legs, while a burly man points at her with a camera.
"I saw the guy with the camera and wasn’t in the mood, so I hiked the whole trail backwards," Taylor explained. "My security told me when to make turns."
The scene was almost comical: "Ah, the tranquility of the great outdoo-TAYLORCANYOULOOKOVERHEREGIVEUSASMILEAREYOUDAT?"
Only Taylor could make avoiding the paparazzi look so graceful.
Back in March, the 25-year-old was spotted walking backwards, guided by a bodyguard from her home in West Hollywood.
While Taylor is typically friendly to photographers, often waving as they snap her picture, it seems the *Blank Space* superstar occasionally resorts to drastic measures to deal with one of the more challenging aspects of fame.
She’s previously discussed hiring extra security after receiving death threats, though she prefers not to dwell on the negatives of her celebrity status.
In an interview with *Esquire* magazine, Taylor revealed, "I fought the idea of having security for a long time because I really value normalcy. I really do. I like to be able to take a drive by myself. Haven’t done that in six years. They have to be in a car behind me."
She added, "This is the strange and sad part of my life that I try not to think about. I try to be lighthearted about it because I don’t ever want to be scared. I don’t want to be walking down the street scared. And when I have security, I don’t have to be scared."
