The royal family’s official Instagram page posted a heartwarming photo from a surprise appearance by the King, where he extended his best wishes to the participants of the 'Sandringham 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer' initiative.
A statement from the charity’s officials read, "Not every day you get royal approval at parkrun."
The statement continued, "This morning, His Majesty The King joined Sandringham parkrunners in the cafe to offer his congratulations, including to the Sandringham 5k Your Way, @moveagainstcancercharity, group as they marked their one-year anniversary."
This moment was especially poignant as it marked the first public statement made by King Charles after Prince Harry’s heartfelt video message, in which he encouraged people to nominate deserving individuals for the upcoming WellChild Awards.
