The royal family has released a heartfelt video message featuring Queen Camilla, coinciding with Prince Harry's significant victory against News Group Newspapers (NGN).
The Palace shared the Queen's emotional address, recorded during her recent royal engagement to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. In her speech, Camilla paid tribute to Anne Frank and called for unity to eliminate wrongdoing in society.
"Let’s unite in our commitment to take action, to speak up, and to ensure that the words ‘Never Forget’ are the guiding light that charts a path towards a better, brighter, and more tolerant future for us all," the Queen stated.
Closing her speech with a poignant quote from Anne Frank, Camilla said, "What is done cannot be undone, but at least one can prevent it from happening again."
The Palace accompanied the video with an official statement, noting that "The Queen, as Patron of the Anne Frank Trust, has marked Holocaust Memorial Day at a reception with survivors and supporters of the charity."
The statement went on to highlight Camilla's participation in a moving presentation on combating prejudice, led by young people from partner schools. Additionally, the Queen lit a candle alongside survivors of genocide and hate crimes to honor the occasion.
The royal family is set to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27, commemorating the liberation of Auschwitz. This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and Anne Frank’s passing, making the day especially significant.
The video, released amid Prince Harry’s celebratory moment, underscores the royal family’s continued dedication to important causes and remembrance efforts.
