Prince William and Prince Harry have received devastating news regarding a tragic incident.
Edward Pettifer, the stepson of the royal brothers’ former nanny, tragically lost his life in a New Year's Day attack in New Orleans. According to the *Express*, Edward was the eldest son of Charles Pettifer, who cared for both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex between 1993 and 1999.
The estranged brothers had also attended Charles Pettifer’s second wedding in 1999.
In a statement released by Edward's family, they shared their grief, saying, "The entire family is devastated by the tragic news of Ed's death in New Orleans. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend to so many."
"We will all miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with the other families who have lost their loved ones due to this horrible attack."
The family also asked for privacy to mourn the loss, stating, "We request that we can grieve the loss of Ed as a family in private. Thank you."
