The fire department issued a statement highlighting the dogs' contributions: "Cruz and Taffy, Facility Dogs with the Salinas Fire Dept, along with their team, have been working tirelessly to assist in efforts to combat the LA fires, providing much-needed support to firefighters and affected communities."
