Meghan Markle’s latest venture, her lifestyle brand *As Ever*, is quietly honoring her husband, Prince Harry, through its thoughtful logo design.
On February 18, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared an Instagram video announcing the rebranding of her upcoming company from *American Riviera Orchard* to *As Ever*. Alongside the video, she launched a website featuring a touching photo of herself and her 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. The landing page prominently displayed the *As Ever* logo, which, according to *People* magazine, holds a special connection to Prince Harry.
The logo features a palm tree, symbolizing the couple’s home in California, and two hummingbirds, which hold personal significance for the Duke of Sussex. An insider revealed, “The distinct shape surrounding the birds and tree was intentionally crafted to create a unique and deeply personal emblem.”
Shortly after the logo’s debut, observers noted its resemblance to the coat of arms of Porreres, a village in Mallorca, which also depicts a palm tree flanked by two birds. Addressing the design process, the insider added, “Comprehensive global searches of registered trademarks were conducted to ensure originality.”
Prince Harry’s connection to hummingbirds was highlighted in his 2023 memoir, *Spare*. Reflecting on the loss of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the 40-year-old Duke shared a poignant moment when a hummingbird entered their home. He interpreted its presence as a spiritual sign, writing, “I thought hopefully, greedily, foolishly: Is our house a detour — or a destination?”
The *As Ever* logo goes beyond the inclusion of hummingbirds to honor Prince Harry. In a 2022 interview with *The Cut*, Meghan recalled how her husband was captivated by two palm trees on their Montecito property during their first visit. “One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees,” she said. “See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’”
Meghan also shared a sweet anecdote about their 5-year-old son, Prince Archie, who greets the trees daily, saying, “Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.”
