Duchess of Sussex’s Team Criticized Over Major Blunders in Rebrand
Meghan Markle’s team has found itself in hot water once again after a major oversight came to light following the launch of her latest venture.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is preparing for the release of her upcoming Netflix show next month while also unveiling her newly rebranded lifestyle business, As Ever, is facing backlash over critical missteps.
Prince Harry’s wife has already been plagued by reports of being a challenging boss, with previous allegations of bullying tarnishing her reputation. Now, her rebrand—originally called American Riviera Orchard—has sparked fresh criticism due to multiple branding errors.
One of the main issues stems from the fact that the name "As Ever" is already in use by two other businesses—one a clothing brand based in New York and the other a wedding photography company. While neither overlaps directly with Meghan’s lifestyle brand, the confusion surrounding the name has raised eyebrows.
Adding to the controversy, the logo for As Ever has drawn comparisons to the historic coat of arms belonging to the Spanish town of Porreres in Mallorca.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams found the situation laughable, stating that Meghan’s team had failed to do their due diligence.
“The logo is very similar,” Fitzwilliams told *Fox News Digital*. “It was surely the responsibility of Meghan and her team to ensure this kind of mistake didn’t happen.”
Branding expert Doug Eldridge echoed the sentiment, describing the rebranding mishap as “a comedy of errors” and entirely self-inflicted.
Meanwhile, former employees of the Duchess have not held back in their criticism, with a *Vanity Fair* article revealing that some ex-staffers claimed to need long-term therapy after working with Meghan. One even likened her behavior to that of a “Mean Girls teenager.”
With mounting scrutiny, it seems Meghan’s latest venture is already off to a rocky start.
