Meghan Markle Accused of Fabricating Prom Queen Stories in PEOPLE Magazine

The latest claim about Meghan Markle has left many people shaking their heads in disbelief. According to a so-called "source," Meghan is being portrayed as a selfless, hardworking, and genuinely kind individual, with Prince Harry being "lucky to have her." But let's be real—this entire narrative feels like yet another manufactured attempt at image rehabilitation.

A recent report from People magazine suggests that Meghan was nominated for prom queen back in her school days. Seriously? Is this yet another conveniently crafted story to bolster her reputation? Let’s not forget the previous outlandish claims—she was supposedly a coat check girl, a bartender in Chicago, and even a nanny for Catholic families, just like Princess Diana. And now, suddenly, she was on the verge of being crowned prom queen? Give us a break.

If Meghan actually won prom queen, wouldn’t there be photos plastered everywhere? After all, every other aspect of her past seems to have been meticulously documented. Instead, we’re left with yet another anonymous "schoolmate" singing her praises, claiming Meghan was “charismatic, hardworking, and destined for something special.”

The problem here is that these accolades don’t need a source when they are clearly coming straight from Meghan's own PR playbook. It's beyond transparent. This so-called source states that Meghan was “bubbly, optimistic, and had her eye on the prize.” And what exactly was that prize? A prince, financial security, and a life of luxury without ever having to work a traditional job again? Mission accomplished.

The narrative goes on to say that Meghan acted as a teacher’s assistant in drama class and had confidence beyond her years. Of course, she did—acting and self-promotion have always been her forte. If anything, her ability to create drama has only escalated over time, especially in the media.

Perhaps the most laughable part of the article is the claim that “no one who knows Meghan could have a bad word to say about her.” That’s a bold statement considering the growing list of former staff members, royal aides, and even estranged family members who have publicly shared a very different perspective. If Meghan is truly as hardworking as claimed, does that include barely recording episodes of her now-defunct Spotify podcast? Or securing a multimillion-dollar Netflix deal only to produce a handful of projects? Where is the work ethic in that?

And let’s not overlook the final, most absurd claim: “She doesn’t buy into Hollywood fakeness.” If Meghan Markle doesn’t buy into Hollywood’s artificiality, then who does? Her entire persona has been carefully curated, with a history of alleged embellishments, self-mythologizing, and strategic media manipulation.

At the end of the day, this latest story is just another attempt to craft a narrative that doesn’t quite hold up under scrutiny. Whether it's the supposed prom queen nomination, the over-the-top praise from an anonymous source, or the insistence that Meghan is nothing short of a saint, it all reeks of yet another PR stunt. The real question is—who’s still buying it?
