Where Could Prince Harry Relocate If Faced with US Deportation?
Prince Harry, who currently resides in the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, is facing renewed scrutiny over his immigration status following a recent court ruling.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly considering his options after Judge Carl Nichols ordered the release of redacted immigration records, which are set to be made public today (Tuesday). This development follows a Freedom of Information request by the Heritage Foundation, leading to the disclosure of three out of four key documents.
Political commentator Benjamin Butterworth addressed the situation on GB News, stating, "We know that Donald Trump is not actually seeking to deport Harry. It was quite a humorous response." He referenced Trump’s past remarks about Meghan Markle, suggesting that the former president has more concerns about her than about Harry.
Butterworth further dismissed the likelihood of Harry being deported, noting, "If the US truly enforced a visa ban on public figures who have admitted to drug use, then half the pop stars in America wouldn’t be allowed to stay."
The analyst drew comparisons to other celebrities, including Harry Styles, who has openly referenced drug use in his music, yet continues to spend significant time in the US. He also mentioned Taylor Swift, pointing out that some of her song lyrics allude to substance use. "If this policy were strictly applied, a whole list of A-list celebrities would be affected," he remarked.
Veteran broadcaster Carole Malone added, "The US used to enforce much stricter immigration policies on this issue, and it would frustrate many ordinary people who have been denied entry for similar reasons."
Meanwhile, political host Patrick Christys speculated on Trump's unpredictability, asking, "What do you think? Trump’s a wild card. He’s a maverick. So, there’s always the possibility that he could suddenly decide, ‘You’re out, Harry! Deport him.’"
In contrast, commentator Jake Berry suggested that if Harry were forced to leave the US, Canada would be a more likely destination than the UK. "He enjoys Canada. It’s a free society. He would likely head north rather than return to Britain."
With Harry’s immigration status under scrutiny, speculation continues about his next move. Whether he remains in the US or considers relocating, the debate surrounding his residency is far from over.
