Meghan Markle Playfully Calls Out Abigail Spencer’s Cooking Skills on ‘With Love, Meghan’
The Duchess of Sussex took a lighthearted jab at her close friend Abigail Spencer’s lack of culinary skills during an episode of her lifestyle series, *With Love, Meghan*.
Abigail Spencer, best known for her role on *Suits*, embraced the playful critique, revealing in an interview with *Hello!* magazine on March 19 that Meghan’s comments had her “dying laughing.”
"It was so funny when she told me she was going to teach me how to cook fish. 'I'm sorry, you're what?'" Spencer recalled, admitting that she was completely lost in the kitchen. "I didn't know where anything was. I felt like I was just doggy paddling, and she was doing butterfly kicks!"
During the fifth episode of the show, Meghan, 42, teased Spencer by saying, “Abby has other strengths!”—a remark that Spencer wholeheartedly agreed with.
“I’m definitely more in the ‘serving champagne while you cook’ category,” she joked, proving she could laugh at herself.
Meghan and Spencer first met in 2007 and have remained close ever since. Over the years, they’ve shared many significant milestones, with Spencer attending Meghan’s royal wedding and even hosting her baby shower before the birth of Prince Archie.
Adding to their bond, the two actresses share the same birthday and have affectionately dubbed themselves “birthday soul sisters.”
While Spencer may not be a culinary expert, she has found success in another creative field—running a floral subscription business. Though she might not be whipping up gourmet meals anytime soon, one thing is clear: her sense of humor remains as strong as ever.
