Meghan Markle’s New Wine Mocked Before It Even Hits the Shelves
Meghan Markle is back in the spotlight—this time not for a royal drama, but for her new rosé wine. The Duchess of Sussex recently launched her first wine through her lifestyle brand "American Riviera Orchard", and it sold out in less than an hour. The launch even landed on Princess Diana’s birthday, July 1, which some say may have been intentional.
Now, Meghan is preparing to release a new flavor as part of the restock, and while some fans are excited, not everyone is impressed.
British TV host Kevin O'Sullivan from TalkTV took some sharp digs at Meghan during a segment. He sarcastically referred to her as the “Difficult Duchess” and joked about her wine being named “Chateau Meg.” He criticized her website As Ever, calling it “weird,” and mocked the way her announcements are styled, especially the “flowery” language used to describe the product.
He even mimicked her American accent on air, poking fun at the brand’s Instagram caption that said, “seeing the world through rosé-coloured glasses.” O'Sullivan wasn’t buying the hype, calling it “Markle hyperbole”—basically accusing Meghan of exaggerating how special or beloved her wine is.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s actual Instagram announcement described the wine as a refined blend that “marries harmony of notes” and delivers a “memorable flavour.”
