Meghan Markle’s New Rosé Leaves Fans Slightly Disappointed
Meghan Markle's rosé wine is back — but it’s not exactly the same as before.
After the first release of her As Ever rosé sold out almost instantly on July 1st, Meghan made sure to stock more bottles for the 2024 version. But this new batch comes with one noticeable change: less alcohol.
The 2023 rosé had 14.5% alcohol, which made it stronger than most celebrity wines. Fans even liked how it had a bit more “kick” compared to wines by Kylie Minogue, Brad Pitt, and Post Malone. But the new 2024 version only has 13.5% alcohol, which has left some buyers feeling like they’re getting less buzz for their buck.
Even though it’s slightly weaker, the price hasn’t changed. It still costs over £22 per bottle, and customers have to order at least three bottles at a time.
On the bright side, the brand says the wine still tastes “effortlessly elegant” — just like the last one. However, some fans told GB News they noticed it “packs less of a punch.”
And while the website claims the bottles are “going fast,” this time they weren’t sold out right away. In fact, the wine was still in stock two days after launch, which didn’t happen last year.
So while Meghan Markle seems to have solved her stock problem, the quality tweak has led to mixed reactions. Fans may appreciate having more rosé available, but some are clearly missing that extra kick from the original.
