Meghan Markle Criticized Again for Using HRH Title in Charity Promotion
Meghan Markle is once again facing criticism over her use of her royal title after appearing in a new promotional clip for a charity cookbook.
On Friday, the As Ever Instagram account shared a video of Meghan talking about Together: Our Community Cookbook, a project she first supported in 2018. She wrote the foreword for the book, which was created in partnership with the Hubb Community Kitchen to help people affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in London.
In the short video, Meghan’s full royal style — “Her Royal Highness” — appeared. While she officially retained the HRH designation after stepping back from senior royal duties in 2020, she had agreed not to use it in an official capacity.
The appearance of the title has reignited debate. Critics say Meghan still benefits from her royal status, including her HRH title, despite publicly stepping away from the monarchy with Prince Harry. Supporters, however, argue that her name and influence help raise attention and funds for worthy causes.
Since leaving the UK, Meghan and Harry have built a life in California, focusing on media projects, charity work, and other ventures outside of royal duties.
