Princess Kate Reportedly Pulls Back from King Charles’ Reconciliation Plan with Prince Harry
Princess Kate has reportedly made a surprising decision that may have caught King Charles off guard. She has stepped back from his efforts to encourage a public reconciliation between the monarch and Prince Harry.
Recently, aides for both King Charles and the Duke of Sussex were seen meeting in London, sparking speculation that this could be the first real step toward a family reunion. But according to reports, Kate isn’t ready to be part of that mission.
Sources told Closer Magazine that the future Queen is still deeply hurt by past public attacks from Harry and Meghan — particularly during the Oprah Winfrey interview and the couple’s Netflix documentary.
“Meghan creates another level of pain for Kate, and that’s something she feels can never be mended. For her, it’s done and dusted,” the insider shared.
While Kate might be willing to be in the same room as Meghan under extreme circumstances, she’s not prepared to join in a public show of unity. Even if Prince Harry were working on a project honoring his late mother, Princess Diana, sources say Kate wouldn’t want to stand next to him unless it was on her own terms.
King Charles, however, reportedly wants to speak with Harry directly — without Meghan or other distractions. Both the King and Kate agree on one thing: Meghan should not be part of any reunion process.
“This is about father and son, not about the Sussex brand,” the source explained.
