40×40, the Duchess of Sussex's initiative
40×40 is Meghan Markle's initiative launched on her birthday. Joining her in the presentation video was a dear friend and former colleague, actress Melissa McCarthy. The project focuses on helping women return to work, facilitating their reintegration and giving them a new opportunity after the severe crisis brought on by the pandemic. Women have suffered the most, paying the highest price: the gender gap has widened, many jobs have been lost, and their economic conditions have worsened, with the risk of falling into extreme poverty.
The Duchess's look in the presentation video was, as always, meticulously curated and impeccable. Her beloved sky-high pumps couldn't be missed: this time, a pair of brown suede Gianvito Rossi pumps costing around €600. The Duchess opted for a comfortable look: linen pants, a white tank top, and a loose-fitting white cardigan. However, it was her accessories that drew attention.
Harry's wife has a passion for personalized jewelry, jewelry that holds a special meaning to her, that represents something or tells a story. During a television appearance where she discussed how the pandemic has negatively impacted women, she wore an original pendant designed to celebrate femininity and female power: the symbol of Venus combined with a protest fist and a purple amethyst.
