Kate Middleton took part in ANZAC Day services held in London on Saturday, joining commemorations that honor a significant moment in military history.
ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the 1915 Gallipoli landings during World War I. It is observed to pay tribute to members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who lost their lives in the conflict, as well as all servicemen and women who have served in the armed forces.
During the event, the Princess of Wales attended the wreath-laying and parade ceremony at The Cenotaph in London. In a symbolic gesture of remembrance and respect, she laid a wreath on behalf of King Charles.
The Cenotaph, meaning “empty tomb,” is one of the United Kingdom’s most important national war memorials. It is also the central site where the Royal Family gathers each November for Remembrance Day commemorations.
A series of images from the occasion captured Princess Catherine’s appearance as she joined the solemn tribute honoring fallen soldiers and military service.
