King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to make a State Visit to the United States later this month.
In a surprising move, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to leave the US for a Canadian getaway just days before the royal visit.
According to People magazine, Olympic gold medalist Eileen Gu shared a photo on Instagram on Thursday showing herself on a ski lift with Prince Harry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. She captioned it simply, “This week!!”
Reports indicate that Prince Harry and Trudeau share a long-standing friendship. The former prime minister attended the Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler 2025, where he and Harry were spotted laughing and chatting during an indoor rowing event on the final day of competition. Trudeau also addressed the athletes and their families during the Games’ Closing Ceremony.
During their Canadian trip, Prince Harry enjoyed skiing with his son, Prince Archie. Meghan shared a sweet social media clip of the duo, writing, “My boys. Quick learner, Archie! So proud,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Prince Harry, Meghan, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, arrived in Canada shortly before King Charles and Queen Camilla’s upcoming State Visit to the United States.
The royal palace confirmed the visit, stating: “On advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States, The King and Queen will undertake a State Visit to the United States of America.”
During the visit, King Charles is expected to address a joint session of Congress on April 28, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
