No Public Mother’s Day Post From Meghan Markle This Year — Here’s Why

Meghan Markle has not made a public post celebrating Mother’s Day this year, which has caught the attention of fans who were expecting her usual heartfelt glimpse into her family life with Prince Archie, who recently turned seven, and Princess Lilibet, aged four.

Despite the anticipation, she has remained quiet on Instagram for the occasion. However, a day earlier, she updated her profile picture, featuring a casual image of herself wearing jeans and a white T-shirt, standing beside a plate of cookies and a floral arrangement. Her lifestyle brand, As Ever, also last posted content about a week ago, adding to the low-key tone of her recent online activity.

Throughout this year, Meghan’s posts on her @meghan account have largely focused on family moments and personal milestones. These have included celebrations for Archie’s birthday, a skiing clip of her son, an Easter egg hunt, behind-the-scenes footage from an As Ever shoot, and acknowledgments for International Women’s Day and Valentine’s Day.

At the same time, her brand As Ever recently introduced a special Mother’s Day collection, which includes candles inspired by her children. Speaking about the launch in an interview with Town & Country, Meghan explained that the brand is designed to bring ease and beauty into everyday life, whether someone is hosting, visiting, or simply enjoying time at home. She also shared that the project began with homemade jam and has since expanded into a broader lifestyle collection aimed at different parts of the home.

She expressed pride in the brand’s growth and hinted at further expansion in the future, calling it an exciting phase for the business.

Historically, Meghan has usually acknowledged Mother’s Day publicly since becoming a mother, with only a few exceptions, including 2022. Last year, she posted a photo of herself with her children and wrote about “juggling it all with joy,” describing motherhood as the “greatest privilege” of her life.

In 2024, she marked the occasion while visiting Nigeria, where she spoke emotionally about missing her children but expressed appreciation for being surrounded by a culture she referred to as the “motherland.” In 2023, her friend Kelly McKee Zajfen shared a Mother’s Day photo on her behalf, while in 2021, Meghan and Prince Harry made a charitable donation to Harvest Home, an organization supporting pregnant women experiencing homelessness.

She also did not publicly mark UK Mother’s Day this year. In earlier years, however, she has shared small traditions, including enjoying lemon pie during Mothering Sunday in 2025. Back in 2020, shortly before stepping back from royal duties, she and Prince Harry used their SussexRoyal platform to honor mothers worldwide, praising their constant dedication and care.

Overall, Meghan’s decision to keep a lower profile this Mother’s Day stands out compared to her usual public reflections on the occasion, which have often combined family moments with messages of appreciation for motherhood.
