Sources suggest that King Charles managed to avoid further strain within the household by choosing not to meet his estranged son during Harry’s recent state visit to the United States. While the King’s schedule was said to be extremely busy, insiders insist that timing was not the primary reason for the missed meeting.
Instead, reports claim that internal family dynamics played a central role. According to close sources, Queen Camilla was strongly opposed to any reunion between Charles and Harry and “did everything she could” to discourage it. She reportedly views Harry as having caused deep disruption within the monarchy and is not interested in efforts to reconcile.
Insiders further allege that King Charles felt compelled to align with Camilla’s position to avoid creating additional tension at home. One source suggested that he preferred maintaining domestic stability over pursuing a potentially sensitive encounter.
Queen Camilla is also said to disapprove of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continuing to benefit commercially from their royal connections. In particularly strong language attributed to a confidant, she allegedly views Harry as deeply disloyal and self-serving.
Although King Charles is believed to have wanted to see his son, insiders claim the meeting was ultimately blocked by internal pressures within the household, leaving him unwilling or unable to push back.
Despite the situation, sources indicate that Prince Harry was reportedly disappointed, as he had hoped for even a brief opportunity to reconnect with his father during the visit, which he would have considered personally meaningful.
