Meghan did not participate in public appearances
In a development that caused intense interest in Britain, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited King Charles and Queen Camilla at their residence in Highgrove, bringing with them their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
According to a statement from the Palace, the meeting was exclusively family in nature and took place away from the spotlight. At the same time, it was announced that no photographs or other visual material from the visit will be released.
The meeting is considered particularly important, as, according to the same information, it was the first time since 2022 that King Charles saw his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, in person, after a long period during which his relations with Prince Harry remained in a difficult phase.
Meghan did not participate in public appearances
The private visit took place a day after the information that Meghan Markle would travel to Britain with her children, without, however, taking part in any public event.
The Duchess of Sussex had avoided visits to the United Kingdom in recent years, citing in the past issues related to her and her family's safety.
Although there were initially estimates that she would attend the events for the countdown to the Invictus Games, she ultimately chose not to make a public appearance.
Earlier in the day, Prince Harry attended events related to the Invictus Games and appeared on the television show “This Morning,” where he had a brief chat with presenter Alison Hammond.
According to British reports, during his stay in the United Kingdom, he also wanted to visit the grave of his mother, Princess Diana, in Althorp with his children.
Sources also report that concerns about security measures affected the planning of the trip, with Meghan and the children arriving later in the country to participate exclusively in the private family meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
