Meghan Markle: this amazing training to which she submitted
Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan Markle, like everyone in the royal family, underwent training to ensure her own safety.
Marrying a prince is never without consequences. On May 19, 2018 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, Meghan Markle said "yes" to her companion, Prince Harry. After the public announcement of her engagement in 2017 to the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, the former actress was enrolled in a course to ensure her personal protection. According to the Finding Freedom biography, as cited by Hello Magazine, the Duchess of Sussex underwent special two-day training to help her prepare for any tough situations like a kidnapping, as Prince Harry and Meghan have received an "unusually high number of threats".
Co-authors and royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand reveal about it: “Meghan was involved in a mock kidnapping, where she was tied up in a car by a 'terrorist', taken to another location, then 'rescued' by police officers who fired with fake pistols (the type used in Hollywood movies). “During the mock kidnapping, Meghan learned to bond with the enemy. She also learned how to drive a car if followed. “A training already followed by Kate Middleton, her sister-in-law, when she became a full member of the royal family, after her marriage to Prince William in 2011.
Prince William, a machine gun pro
This training, validated by all members of the Royal Family except the Queen, is routine for members of the Royal Family as well as expatriates working in dangerous countries. It has already been reported that Prince William took this training at the age of 16, then learning to handle a submachine gun. The teenager had also been put in a car during a mock ambush.
