President Donald Trump says he was "very busy" and didn't have time to think about gifts
Donald Trump is America's most powerful man and one of the wealthiest, but his pettiness came to light when he revealed what his gift was to First Lady Melania Trump, who turns 48 this Thursday.
In a telephone interview with Fox & Friends, he confessed that he had not had time to think about gifts. "Well, you better not ask me why I can get in trouble. Maybe I didn't understand her much. I just bought her a card and beautiful flowers," he pointed out to the driver.
He added that he has been "very busy" and could not rush out to buy details for his wife.The Trumps have had friction since their first day in the White House.
Before the statement, Pete Souza, a photographer for the White House with Barack Obama, responded with an image where the former president surrounds Michelle Obama with his arms for her birthday, in 2013. Souza adds in the text: “He always gave her a gift".
Image specialists assure that the Trumps do not project happiness. The humiliations, slights and disrespect are constant in your relationship as a couple.
However, the tension has been mounting since the scandal of an alleged Donald Trump affair with the porn star Stormy Daniels exploded.
Although Trump praised the work Melania Trump did in planning the state dinner honoring France, he has yet to post any congratulations on Twitter. On Facebook he left the message: "Happy birthday to my beautiful wife and our amazing First Lady Melania."
The official White House account posted a message on Twitter for the First Lady and added a photo of her wearing a red outfit: "Happy birthday, @Flotus!"
