Scalp transplant or reduction for Donald Trump?
Ever since a strong wind played a dirty trick on Donald Trump and exposed a bald spot on the back of his head, many have speculated what kind of procedure - if anything - the president performed.
The 71-year-old known for his quirky hair style during his reality career career has always insisted it's his natural hair. And after the incident while he was boarding Air Force One and which has been the talk of late-night talk shows, there is more speculation than ever.
News sites like Daily Beast have 'studied' photos of the event from different angles. They have also consulted with expert surgeons. Opinions vary, but some think he underwent a scalp reduction or hair transplant procedure.
The reduction was discussed back in 1989 when her first wife Ivana Trump included the information in her divorce deposition. She said Trump had consulted with plastic surgeon Steven Hoefflin, but the now president denied that.
The reduction sounds quite painful and difficult and consists of cutting pieces of the scalp that have lost hair and “sewing” parts where it is still growing. Scholars of the photos say they see a scar that could be an indication that the operation was done before the 90, when it stopped practicing. Some surgeons think that Trump probably opted for a hair transplant because the reduction is quite complicated and dangerous.
One of the sites went further and made a graph of how Trump achieves his peculiar hairstyle using everything from combing the longest hair that still grows and placing it over his bald spots, to the hairspray he uses.
