Trump billed US taxpayers £ 40,000 for Secret Services and Products to use a room at Mar-a-Lago in
Trump moved to his resort town of Bedminster, New Jersey, earlier this month and it's unclear whether he's asking Secret and Tech to stay or work there.
Former President Donald Trump billed the US government at least $ 40,000 for products and services strategies to use a room in his Mar-a-Lago compound after leaving the White House, the Washington Put up reported on Friday. Trump's resort town in Palm Seaside, Florida billed taxpayers $ 396.15 each night from Jan. 20 to at least April 30 for a single room that Trump's security details were working on.
The cost of nearly $ 400 per night is lower than the original rate of $ 546 per night that Mar-a-Lago billed the government in the first few months of Trump's tenure. But under federal rules, most government employees are limited to spending $ 205 per night on accommodation in Palm Seashore County, according to the General Companies Administration.
Trump moved to Mar-a-Lago on the last day of his tenure and lived there full time until early May, when he moved to his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, for the 'summer. It is not known whether its ownership cost the secret and technical companies to stay in Bedminster or to use any of the facilities.
It comes after Mar-a-Lago billed tech companies nearly $ 16,000 for Trump's week-long Christmas visit to his club in December 2020 while he was still president. Former US presidents benefit from the defense of technical providers for the rest of their lives, in addition to an annual pension of $ 219,000 and staff paid by the government. But it is very unusual for a former president to charge his protective detail.
When President Joe Biden was Vice President, he billed Secret Solutions bucks 2,200 per month to rent a cottage on his Delaware property. But he has not charged the US government since he became president, the White House told the Put up.
During his four years in office, Trump charged U.S. taxpayers an additional 2.5 million bucks for using the facilities on his properties, The Submit reported. Trump's properties raised an additional 5.6 million dollars in bucks from his campaign and fundraising group. A self-proclaimed billionaire, Trump has come under scrutiny and criticism for allowing his properties in the United States and around the world to indict the US government on his numerous visits.
