Jennifer Lopez on Ben Affleck: "I feel so lucky and happy to be with him"

In a recent interview, Jennifer Lopez spoke at length about her relationship with Ben Affleck. Among many things, she pointed out that both were afraid to get back together.

On February 1, People magazine published an interview with Jennifer Lopez, where the actress elaborated on her relationship with Ben Affleck, with whom she has returned almost twenty years after they were together for the first time. "It's a beautiful love story and we have a second chance," she noted.

As you remember, JLO and Ben Affleck were together between 2002 and 2004, they even almost got married. However, since May of last year, they began to be seen together again, until their relationship became official.

Jennfier Lopez commented that at first both were afraid to get back together, after all the media circus that was built around their first relationship. The latter, as she explains, was due to her inexperience and naivety. Now, the two of them are both around fifty years old and have a longer life span.

"We've both been like, 'Wow, we're so happy and we don't want any of that to come into play again.' Now we are older, we are smarter, we are more experienced, we are in different places in our lives. Now we have children and we must be very aware of these things, "revealed JLO.

Jennifer Lopez is also aware of how rare it is to have a second chance like she is, so she will do her best to protect her.

JLO fervently believes in love

During the interview, Jennifer Lopez also assured that love is a force that can handle everything, even if there are children from other relationships or heavy work schedules involved. To do this, she advises leaving the ego aside and being more attentive to the good. “When you're in a good, healthy relationship, everyone benefits. Everyone,” she stressed.

She also said she is proud of the way Ben Affleck has been able to work on her emotional side. She feels that they are both at a point in their lives that is the product of deep self-knowledge, which has brought them to a place where they know who they are and feel good about it.

When asked about the future, JLO replied, “I just want my future to be full of love and happiness, with my children and my partner. I think everyone wants to be happy, with someone to go on the journey with and grow old with, and I feel good about that right now."

On February 11, shortly before Valentine's Day, Jennifer Lopez will premiere "Marry Me", a film in which she acts together with Owen Wilson, Maluma, among others.
