Actress Dakota Johnson recounted on the show "Entertainment Tonight" that she refused to shoot some scenes, such as the scenes in which she is whipped by Jamie Dornan.
She appears to be the most modest young actress in real life than she is in the role she plays where she accepts Christian Grey's particular s-xual fixations.
"There's a close-up of a butt hit by a belt. That's not my butt because I didn't want to get hit with a belt," the actress confessed.
Given Dakota's refusal, the producers hired the services of an expert in sadomasochism, who performed the most tricky scenes.
“The sequences are technical and choreographed because they have to be safe and done as real as possible. There are many rules and things that have to be done correctly to be faithful to the BDSM (Bondage, Domination, Sadism and Masochism) subculture. We had a domination expert who was on set helping us," explained director Sam Taylor-Johnson on the same show.
