In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry revealed that he was afraid of losing Meghan during his time as a royal.
He criticized his family for pressuring him to stay, even when Meghan was struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Harry compared the royal family to a prison, saying that he felt "trapped" while being a part of it. He explained that even after he made the decision to leave, he was still told that he couldn't do it.
He expressed concern over potentially losing another woman in his life, mentioning his mother Princess Diana who tragically died in a car accident in 1997. Harry's statement has led some to speculate that he was afraid of history repeating itself.
Despite the controversy surrounding his departure from royal life, Harry has confirmed that he will attend his father and stepmother's crowning ceremony on May 6.
However, Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will not be accompanying him to the UK.
