Prince Harry Skips Coronation Portrait Session, Heads to the US

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry will not be featured in the official royal family portraits that will commemorate King Charles' Coronation. According to reports, the Duke of Sussex had already departed for his home in California, where his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet reside.

This news comes as little surprise, as it was expected that Prince Harry would only be visiting the UK briefly for the Coronation, especially given that it coincides with his son Archie's fourth birthday.

Insiders have shared that Prince Harry's main priority was to support his father during the Coronation ceremony, and he had no plans to stay beyond that. After the ceremony at the Abbey ended and guests began to depart, Prince Harry was seen getting into a BMW and leaving quickly. He is now believed to have headed straight to the airport to return to the US.

It's worth noting that Prince Harry's relationship with the royal family remains strained, especially with his older brother Prince William. In his memoir, Prince Harry revealed that his brother physically assaulted him, and this has caused a rift between the two siblings. During the Coronation ceremony, Prince Harry was relegated to the third row and did not play a significant role, whereas Prince William was at the forefront of the event.

As a non-working royal, Prince Harry was not invited to participate in the Coronation Procession from the Abbey to Buckingham Palace or to join the royal family on the Palace balcony. However, he was invited to participate in the portrait session with his father King Charles, although it appears that he had already left for the US by that time.
