According to a report, the monarch, who was formally crowned alongside his wife Queen Camilla last month, did not invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to his Trooping the Color procession, also known as his birthday parade post-coronation.
"They are merely ignoring him and Meghan," a source told The Spectator. It emerged on Monday that the exiled royals weren't asked to attend the festivities.
"I'm afraid it's a reflection of the state of relations at the moment," a source told Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden.
This marks the first time Harry has not been welcome at his father's official birthday celebrations since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit royal duties three years ago. Queen Elizabeth had previously stated that they would always be much-loved members of her family, according to an insider. Buckingham Palace officials were keen to stress that they would continue to be invited to family events, despite Harry's brief visit to the UK for his ongoing legal battle against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) over an alleged phone hacking scandal.
During his last visit to London for his father's coronation on May 6, Harry briefly attended the historic event, while Meghan stayed home in California with their children, Archie and Lilibet. Harry spent less than 28 hours in the UK, arriving in London on a commercial flight the night before the coronation. He arrived at King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey solo, without Meghan, marking the first time he had seen his father since releasing his bombshell memoir, "Spare," in January.
Reports indicate that Harry did not see or speak to his estranged family outside of the ceremony, despite briefly passing through Buckingham Palace during his quick trip. His long-awaited family reunion saw him being snubbed with his seating arrangement, as he was relegated to the third row between Princess Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Queen Elizabeth II's cousin, Princess Alexandra.
However, Harry's trip was a fleeting one, as he sensationally jumped into a waiting car and headed to London's Heathrow Airport as soon as he stepped out of the Abbey.
