The absence of public birthday wishes for Meghan was attributed to her no longer being a working Royal official. Royal aides explained that only the birthdays of working members of the Royal Family are acknowledged on official social media accounts, even though they had shared birthday messages for Meghan in previous years.
Meghan Markle celebrated her 42nd birthday on August 4, but senior members of the Royal Family maintained radio silence. According to reports, she celebrated early by watching the Barbie movie with friends and later had dinner with Prince Harry.
Last year, official Twitter accounts for the Royal Family, including Prince and Princess of Wales, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, publicly shared birthday wishes for Meghan on social media. However, this year, there was no such gesture.
